Hook Up a Baby Bike Trailer

,Position your bike so its rear wheel is accessible. If your bike has a quick-release rear axle, snap open the quick-release lever and hold it, remove the nut and spring, and completely pull out the axle skewer. If your bike has rear hub nuts, use a wrench to remove the rear wheel’s hub nut and washer.
,Glide the bike trailer‘s tab washer and coupler plate onto the skewer if your bike has a quick-release lever, or onto the axle if it has rear hub nuts. The coupler plate’s large hole needs to be positioned below the axle.
,Reattach the washer and bike hub nut with a wrench if your bike has rear hub nuts. If it has a quick-release lever, replace the spring and nut and fasten the lever.
,Attach the end of the baby bike trailer tow bar to the coupler’s large hole. Tighten the Q/R pin.
,Attach any provided safety strap to your bike frame. Your bike trailer may have a strap that wraps around the frame with a clip and attaches to the tow bar’s “D” ring.
