How to soak 12 inch baseball glove in water?

,Play catch with a friend or neighbor right after you purchase your 12 inch baseball glove. You will notice that it is stiff and difficult to open and close. The process of catching a baseball will help you to loosen up the glove and form the first stages of a good pocket or webbing–the part of the glove where you want to catch the ball. Do this for about 10 minutes.
,Run warm water in a basin or a sink. Get it to a level of 18 inches and then drop your glove in the water and leave it in for about 5 minutes.
,Dry your glove completely with a towel. Get all the moisture from the water out of it and then take your glove and rub it with glove oil. Rub it in the pocket and along the fingers. Take a baseball and put it in the pocket. Wrap the fingers of the glove tightly around the ball and then tie it closed with a rope or a belt. Keep the glove tied up for at least 12 hours.
,Unfurl the glove and play another 10 minutes of catch. You should notice a significant difference in the flexibility of your glove from what it had 24 hours earlier. You should be able to close the fingers over the ball with less resistance.
,Put the 12 inch baseball glove back in a tub of water for another 5 minutes. Take it out and dry the glove thoroughly. Start playing baseball regularly, because your glove is now functional.
