How to turn on a Skateboard?

1,Push off on your board lightly, gaining enough speed to plant both of your feet in the traditional style with both toes facing one direction. It is best to begin slowly and once you have mastered turning to increase your speed.
2,Gain your balance and keep your feet firmly planted on the pro complete skateboard. Never shift you weight when trying to turn, this can quickly result in the riding falling off the board.
3,Apply pressure to your toes to make a turn in that direction. The board will tip slightly in that direction and the board will make a smooth turn in that direction. When you want to stop making the turn simple pull the pressure off your toes and center your balance on the speed pro complete skateboard. This should help you stay straight.
4,Turn in the opposite direction requires pressure on the heels. Just like before, depending on the amount of pressure you use, the board should react by making a smooth turn.
5,Apply pressure from your toes to your heels back and forth to let the board slalom from right to left. This is also a good opportunity to experiment with different amounts of pressure to see how the board reacts.

How to buy child’s first baseball glove?

1,Ask child’s coach or manager for advice, if possible. Don’t be shy about specifying your budget. Sports expenses add up quickly, and parents need to be careful.
2,Buy the smallest baseball glove on the rack for a very young player (under 7 years old). These gloves usually measure 9 inches (23 cm) from the bottom of the palm to the tip of the longest finger and cost about $20. Softer gloves are also preferable for youngsters. Keep in mind that many kids resist using child-size equipment because they want to look like adult players. Avoid drawing attention to the fact that your child is using a smaller glove.
3,Go up to the next size increment, an 11-inch (28-cm) glove, for larger kids. If yours is a serious player, the glove will likely see several years of use if maintained well. Consider paying more for a higher-quality leather glove. It’s best to take your child with you when selecting it. The glove should feel good and your child should like it. A basic 11-inch glove is about $45. Higher-end gloves can cost $100 or more.
4,Avoid buying a specialized glove such as a catcher’s mitt unless the coach requires it. Your child will probably play a variety of positions, and an all-around glove will be the most useful.

How to Pick the Right Pro Complete Skateboard?

1,The first thing you will want to consider is the size of the pro complete skateboard. Skateboards normally come in 3 standard sizes: 7.5” wide, 7.625” wide and 7.75” wide. If you are very young and have kind of small feet, then you may wish to try the 7.5” board, or if you have bigger feet, try the larger sizes. Try standing on a variety of boards at the shop to see what size feels most comfortable for you.
2,Consider how concave the board is. What this means is how steep the angle of the nose and tail are at the ends of the skateboard. Low angles make the board easier for new riders to control, or if you have a little experience, you may wish to have a skateboard with steeper concave, which allows you to get more air when doing flips and jumps.
3,The trucks on the bottom of the skateboard are the next consideration. Trucks hold the speed pro complete skateboard wheels, and also aid with grinding and sliding. There is not a lot to be said about which truck is best to use, with the exception of saying to make sure you get the trucks that are the right size to match the skateboard size you selected in Step 1. The skate shop can help you double check to make sure you are getting the right size.
4,The size of the skateboard wheels is the next consideration. The larger the wheel, the easier it is to obtain and maintain speed with your board. Most sizes are 50-56mm, but you can choose any size that is comfortable to you.
5,The firmness of the wheel is also to be considered. If you will be riding on rough surfaces, then soft wheels are recommended, because they will form to the contour of the ground as you ride. Hard wheels work best for smooth surfaces, and are generally much faster than soft wheels, but can slide very easily. New riders should ask for a wheel with a hardness rating of 99A.

How to string a 12.75 inch Baseball Glove

1,Pick a section of the 12.75 inch Baseball Glove you want to string first. There are several leather strings that hold a baseball mitt together, and the number varies with the kind of glove it is. For example, a catcher’s mitt can have more strings than a shortstop’s mitt. Generally, there are webbing strings, finger strings and strings around the bottom of the glove.
2,Remove the old string, recording the path of your string with the video camera. A cell phone camera is fine. You might be able to retrace the path of the string from memory, but you’ll appreciate having a video backup in case you forget. Use needle nose pliers if needed to pull the string.
3,Cut any knots in the old strings with diagonal cutters. You’ll find knots at the ends of the strings.
4,Retrace the path of the old string by putting in the new leather string. For each hole in the mitt, place the stringing tool through the hole. The stringing tool has a hole in the end of it. Place the leather string through the hole in the tool, and then pull the tool through the hole in the mitt.
5,Continue with this process until you have replaced all of the strings.
6,Tie the knots between the strings to replace the knots that you cut. Refer to your video recording if you can’t remember where the knots were. Use diagonal cutters to cut the extra lengths of leather string protruding from the knots.
7,Test your glove by throwing a baseball into the webbing and throwing the baseball straight up into the air and catching it. Play a game of catch.

How to wash a 3 season envelope double sleeping bag?

1,Follow the instructions on the 3 season double sleeping bag or the tag that came with the sleeping bag. The manufacturer knows best about what works for the particular bag.
2,Clean stains and spills off with a sponge when they occur. Pre-treat stains on synthetic-fill sleeping bags before washing.
3,Wash either a down or synthetic fiber envelope double sleeping bag by hand or in a large washing machine. Hand-washing is tough because it takes a lot of rinsing to get the soap out.
4,Use a front-loading washer or a commercial washing machine. A sleeping bag can be hard on the machine and vice versa because the machine agitates roughly with a large bulky item.
5,Zip the bag before washing.
6,Wash a down bag in warm water with a mild soap like Woolite or Ivory Snow, not detergent. Do not add bleach or fabric softener. Synthetic-fill bags may be washed with regular laundry detergent, and fabric softener may be used.
7,Process the bag through another wash cycle – without soap – to completely rinse it. Soap residues can cause clumping of the insulation and loss of loft.
8,Handle the bag carefully when wet. Press – don’t wring – the water out. Wrap it up in a ball and transfer it to the dryer.
9,Clean a down-filled sleeping bag occasionally to keep it fresh but also to maintain the loft (fluffiness) of the down. Do not dry-clean down bags unless the manufacturer insists on it, as the cleaning solvents can strip the feathers of natural oils.
10,Dry a down bag on very low heat with a clean, rubber-soled athletic shoe or a tennis ball. This fluffs the down and breaks up clumps in the batting. Thoroughly dry the bag before storing, though this may take some time.
11,Dry a synthetic-fill bag on low heat, but it can also be dried outside. Lay it flat to dry.

How to assemble a speed pro complete skateboard

1,Preparing the Grip-tape. Take the deck and the grip. Peel the protection surface off, like a sticker, from the grip tape and place it evenly on the pro complete skateboard.
2,Smooth it out. Make sure there are absolutely no air bubbles, as these will dramatically reduce the amount of time the grip-tape remains on the board. Take your screw driver and rub against the edge of the board to get the grit off of it so it will make a guideline for cutting.
3,Trimming the Grip-Tape. Cut around the edge with a sharp blade, preferably a razor. Then use some of the extra grip tape pieces to sand down the edges of the grip tape on the speed pro complete skateboard, to make the edges even.
4,Attaching the trucks. Use a screwdriver (or just the screw) to make the holes through the grip tape, the board and through the trucks, then put the bolts into the the board, and put the bolt onto the end of the screw, screw it in while holding the bolts with a clamp or a wrench or something.
5,Put the bearings at the wheels and attach them to the trucks. Screw them, but don’t overdo it or they won’t move. If you tighten them down until they do not spin and then back off, it will assist in sinking the bearings fully into the wheel.
6,Adjusting. Adjust the trucks to loose, medium, or normal using the kingpin.

How to Relace a Baseball Glove?

1,Treat the new rawhide lacing with a leather softener or baseball gloveoil before you begin work. This will allow the leather to soften and make it easier to handle.
2,Inspect the lacing and memorize the lacing pattern.
3,Remove one section of the broken lacing (see A). If necessary, use a pair of scissors to cut it free.
4,Tie a simple overhand knot at one end of a long piece of the new rawhide lacing. Pull the knot as tight as possible.
5,Using a leather awl, ice pick or other pointy tool, push the lacing through the first hole in the stitching pattern (see B). Pull the lacing through, up to the knot in its end.
6,Continue threading the lacing through the holes, following the lacing pattern of the original. Pull the lacing as tight as possible without deforming the 12.5 inch baseball glove. The lacing will stretch over time, so tightness is essential to a lasting repair.
7,Place another overhand knot in the lacing at the end of the section. Adjust the knot so that it is snug against the glove. Cut off any excess lacing.
8,Continue working on other sections as needed.

How to store a 3 season envelope double sleeping bag?

Step 1:Take your 3 season double sleeping bag out of its stuff sack when you return from a trip in the backcountry, and let it air out and dry. Even if it is barely damp, you must let it dry out completely before storing. Lay it out flat in a dry place out of the sun.
Step 2:Spot-clean any stains with a sponge and warm water while it is air drying. A tiny amount of detergent may be used on a tough stain.
Step 3:Stuff the bag into your large mesh or fabric storage sack. Sometimes envelope double sleeping bag come with one of these; if not, you can use a mesh laundry bag or large trash bag. Label it so someone doesn’t take it out with the trash. Whatever you use, a draw cord is helpful to keep it inside the sack. It should be seven to eight times the size of the compression sack you use while backpacking. It is especially important to store down sleeping bags like this to maintain their loft and fluffiness.
Step 4:Store in a cool dry place, preferably up on a shelf in a utility closet where pets can’t make their mark on it.

How to jump on a speed pro complete skateboard?

1,Stand on your pro complete skateboard with the back foot just slightly over the edge of the board, and the front foot about in the middle.
2,Bend your knees and press the tail end of the speed pro complete skateboard down to the ground, with your back foot.
3,Quickly following the above step, jump and push your front foot towards the nose end of the board.
4,As you slide your front foot up, begin to quickly push the front of the board down towards the ground.

How to restring a 12.75 inch baseball glove?

Step 1
Condition the new lacing using glove oil or a leather conditioner before lacing the 12.75 inch baseball glove. This makes the new
laces easier to handle and will result in a more comfortable 12.75 baseball glove when you are done lacing it.
Step 2
Examine the way the glove is currently laced, looking closely at the pattern. Carefully begin to remove a small
section of the lacing, using scissors if necessary. Don’t remove more than two holes of lacing at this time.
Step 3
Take a piece of the new lacing and tie a very tight knot in one of the ends. Using a pointy tool such as a
leather awl, push the other end through the hole where you previously removed the old lacing. Weave the new piece
of leather in the same pattern as the piece you just removed.
Step 4
Continue this technique as you move through the lacing, taking out one or two pieces of old lace and replacing it
with the new lace in the same patter. When you have finished one of the rows of lacing, be sure to tie a secure
knot as close to the glove as you can. Remove any extra lacing using a scissors.
Step 5
Repeat this procedure until the lacing is completed.

How to roll a 3 season envelope double sleeping bag?

1,Lay the 3 season double sleeping bag out flat. It’s much easier to do it on the ground than on an elevated surface, but if you don’t want to get your pants all dirty and you’re afraid to rough it, it is possible to do it on an elevated surface. Frankly, if you are afraid to rough it you shouldn’t be camping anyway.
2,Fold it in half landscape style (or hot dog style if you prefer that phrase).
3,Start from the end that has the hole that you get into to sleep.
4,Grab it firmly and begin to roll.
5,Roll it tightly, tucking it under each time you roll. Stop doing this at halfway.
6,Now that you are at the halfway point you can stop tucking it under and just roll it.
7,When you get to the end follow one of these methods:
If your envelope double sleeping bag has straps at the end, fasten them securely close to the middle about 3 inches apart.
If it doesn’t, have some rope handy and firmly tie it around the middle. A square knot might be good to use.
8,Pack up and hit the road!

How to Fit a Baseball glove

1,Determine what size glove you will need based on the size of your hand. Baseball glove sizes are referred to in inches. Children under 6 can begin by looking at gloves that are in the 10- to 10 1/2-inch range, and then make adjustments based on the size of their hand. Children that are 7 to 8 years old can begin looking at gloves that are 10 1/2 to 11 inches, and children 9 to 12 years old are usually in the 11 1/2- inch range. Adults will generally use gloves that are 11 inches or more.
2,Consider what position you will be playing. Infield and outfield gloves should be very different, and their size is based on the demands of the position. A second baseman or shortstop should use a smaller glove (about an 11-inch glove for adults). This is so they can make quick transfers easier and prevent the ball from getting “lost” in the glove. An outfielder should use a larger glove (at least a 12-inch glove) so that he or she can more easily reach balls in the larger fielding areas they are required to cover. First baseman and catchers gloves are usually the largest because the fielders are required to field and “scoop” throws from many different angles and heights.
3,Get a glove that feels comfortable on your hand. Once you find the right size based on the criteria in Steps 1 and 2, try on gloves in that size that are made by a few different manufacturers. You will notice a difference between them, and usually one of these will stand out as having a custom-fit feel to it.

How to Do an Ollie on a speed pro complete skateboard?

1,Stand on the speed pro complete skateboard with your rear foot placed on the tail and your front foot between the middle of your board and the front bolts.
2,Place the ball of your rear foot in the middle of the pro complete skateboard so that when you push the tail down, the ball of your foot feels the pressure.
3,Place your front foot nearly straight across the board.
4,Practice pushing down as fast as you can with your back foot and putting all your weight on the tail. This is the initial motion of the trick.
5,Notice that the harder you push, the more your board wants to keep going up once the tail is on the ground. You will use that motion in the next step.
6,Strike the tail on the ground and jump off with your rear foot as you slide your front foot up the board (so your knee moves toward your chest).
7,Drag the side of your foot up the pro complete skateboard deck as you are jumping. This will cause the board to come up with your jump. Once both feet are in the air, the board will seem to stick to them.
8,Come back down.

How to Properly Size a Baseball Glove

1,Understand that baseball companies (Rawlings, Mizuno) put ratings on baseball gloves. Each age fits into a size category. This is a good idea, but it just doesn’t always apply.
2,Under the age of 8, playing infield you would need a 9 inch glove. Under the age of 8, playing outfield you would need an 11 inch glove. Ages 9-13, playing infield you would need a 9-10 inch glove. Ages 9-13, playing outfield you would need an 11-12 inch glove. High School/Adult players playing infield would need a 10 1/2-11 1/2 inch glove. High School/Adult players playing outfield would need a 12-12 3/4 inch glove. Keep in mind this is only an estimate made by a baseball company.
3,Determine what hand you throw with. If you throw with your right hand; the baseball glovegoes on your left hand (this is the most common glove). If you throw with your left hand; the glove goes on you right hand (while shopping this type of glove is generally more rare, because this tends to be the minority of players).
4,Determine the material you would like your glove to be made out of. Synthetic – generally smaller gloves for children beginning to play. It’s a cheaper material that doesn’t last very long (often these gloves will be priced around $9.99 or so). Treated Leather (also called soft leather) – this type of baseball glove is excellent for children. It’s soft, easy to catch with, and generally doesn’t have to be broken in much. The downside is it lasts an average lifespan of 5-7 years. The speed children grow that won’t matter, because they generally grow out of the glove before its lifespan is up. Regular leather – these gloves can range from $30.00 to $350.00. They generally need a break in time (use a glove softener, or put a ball in it and keep it under the mattress). They are tough, versatile, and can have a lifespan of 15 years + depending on how well it is cared for.
5,Once the proper glove is picked out try it on. While your hand is fully inserted into the glove the bottom of the glove should come right above the wrist. The bottom on the players palm should stick out slightly. This step is important and you want to take particular care ensuring that the glove is not covering the players wrist. This is because if the player does not have 360 degree motion with their wrist while wearing a baseball glove it will stop them from playing to their full potential.
6,Have the player move their wrist around checking that the glove does not stop their natural motion. Also, check to make sure the glove is comfortable and nothing is agitating the players hand.
7,Enjoy your new glove!!

How to Choose Skateboard Sizes

Mini: – For children between the age of 5 and 10. Mini sized skateboards should be assembled with mini sized trucks like Grindking Minis.
7.5″ – This size is good for children looking to ride a bigger board. It is also good for skaters who like to do a lot of technical skating like manuals, flip tricks onto ledges etc. Skater height range: 5 feet to 5 feet 4 inches tall (this is not a rule).
7.75″ – This is the most common sized skateboard deck. If you don’t know what to get, start here. Skater height range: 5 feet 5 inches tall to 6 ft (this is not a rule).
8.0″ – This size is good for stability. There is a lot more foot room here. These boards are good for: handrails, slow stylish flip tricks down stairs and over gaps, mini-ramp, and sometimes even pool skating. Skater height range: 6ft plus (this is not a rule).
8.0″ plus – Any skateboard over 8 inches wide is usually meant for vert, bowl, park or pool riding. These boards are bigger and heavier. However, they are much more stable.

How to Break in a New Baseball Glove

1,Purchase a new baseball glove. Choose a glove that you can fit your hand all the way into and that won’t slip off your hand. If you play a certain position, get that type of glove.
2,Purchase baseball glove conditioning oil. This oil will soften, enrich, and preserve your leather glove.
3,Get a baseball or softball, depending on your needs for the glove.
4,Put the ball in the glove, tie it with string, and leave it out in direct sunlight for no more than a few hours. This will get the leather hot and easy to shape.
5,After you take the glove out of the sun, untie it, take the ball out, and shape the glove by pressing in the pocket and opening and closing it. Throw the ball into the center of the glove’s pocket as hard as possible. Repeat this step several times.
6,Close the glove around the ball tightly and wrap it with the string again and store it overnight or over a weekend in a dry, dark corner away from small children.
7,After the set time is up, retrieve the glove and remove the string and ball.

What Sleeping Bag Shape is Right for You?

Mummy Style sleeping bags feature a tapered cut that increases heat-trapping efficiency. This allows you to choose a lighter and less bulky bag and still get comparable insulation. These are your best choice for colder, high-elevation conditions.
Rectangular sleeping bags are heavier and bulkier due to its lack of tapered ends. It is also inefficient to heat insulation since there is more space for your body heat to heat up. On the positive side there is more room to change sleeping positions plus they can be unzipped and used as a blanket.
Semirectangular bags provide a balance between the two above options. They are more roomy than a mummy and less bulky than a rectangular.

How to Ride a Skateboard for Beginners

1, buy a skateboard that is right for you. Also buy pads and a helmet, as you will likely be doing some falling in your first few weeks trying to learn to ride the skateboard.
2, begin practicing. Start by standing on the board with one foot forward and your other foot hanging off of the side of the board. This will be the stance that you have while propelling yourself. Begin to lightly kick back at the ground with the back foot, keeping the front foot on the board. Likely, this will be hard at first, but you will need to maintain your balance.
3,Once you have yourself rolling forward, pick up the back foot, and place it on the board; rotate your front forward to the side so that you are standing sideways on it. Slowly roll along. This is the basic technique: propel yourself with one foot, then pick it up and turn your feet so that your body faces to the side as you ride.
4,Practice this a lot, and begin to work up your speed. Then, practice your turning. While riding the board, lean your body forward or back, tilting the board and turning yourself in the direction of your lean. This is a very slow turn.
5,Practice actually turning the board quickly: lift up your front foot so that the front of the board lifts off of the ground slightly, and swivel your back foot, on the back of the board, to rotate it. Pressing straight down with the back foot is also a way to quickly stop.
6,Practice all of this, working up your balancing, propelling, turning and stopping, and over the course of a few weeks, you will begin to get the sport down.
7,Learning how to ride a skateboard for beginners is not terribly hard, but it requires work. Keep at it, and practice as much and as long as you can. Before you know it, you will be riding your board with ease.
