,Lay the 3 season double sleeping bag out flat. It’s much easier to do it on the ground than on an elevated surface, but if you don’t want to get your pants all dirty and you’re afraid to rough it, it is possible to do it on an elevated surface. Frankly, if you are afraid to rough it you shouldn’t be camping anyway.
,Fold it in half landscape style (or hot dog style if you prefer that phrase).
,Start from the end that has the hole that you get into to sleep.
,Grab it firmly and begin to roll.
,Roll it tightly, tucking it under each time you roll. Stop doing this at halfway.
,Now that you are at the halfway point you can stop tucking it under and just roll it.
,When you get to the end follow one of these methods:
If your envelope double sleeping bag has straps at the end, fasten them securely close to the middle about 3 inches apart.
If it doesn’t, have some rope handy and firmly tie it around the middle. A square knot might be good to use.

,Pack up and hit the road!
