How to restring a 12.75 inch baseball glove?

Step 1
Condition the new lacing using glove oil or a leather conditioner before lacing the 12.75 inch baseball glove. This makes the new
laces easier to handle and will result in a more comfortable 12.75 baseball glove when you are done lacing it.

Step 2
Examine the way the glove is currently laced, looking closely at the pattern. Carefully begin to remove a small
section of the lacing, using scissors if necessary. Don’t remove more than two holes of lacing at this time.

Step 3
Take a piece of the new lacing and tie a very tight knot in one of the ends. Using a pointy tool such as a
leather awl, push the other end through the hole where you previously removed the old lacing. Weave the new piece
of leather in the same pattern as the piece you just removed.

Step 4
Continue this technique as you move through the lacing, taking out one or two pieces of old lace and replacing it
with the new lace in the same patter. When you have finished one of the rows of lacing, be sure to tie a secure
knot as close to the glove as you can. Remove any extra lacing using a scissors.

Step 5
Repeat this procedure until the lacing is completed.
