Use Vibration Machines for Exercise


1,Know your limits. Before even setting foot on the vibration machine, find out what the contraindications are. For example, the machine is not recommended if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or a pacemaker, have any tumors, or had surgery recently.
2,Use the correct posture. When you are using a whole body vibration machine, it is important to have the proper body alignment. When you are doing standing exercises, make sure your weight is on your toes, your knees are slightly bent and your heels are slightly elevated.
3,Set up your time, amplitude and frequency. The vibrating exercise machine comes with a screen where you can input this information. The time can be set according to your fitness levels. For example, if you are just beginning, 20 to 30 seconds is optimal. The amplitude is the distance the plate will vibrate. This is generally 2 to 4 millimeters. When just starting out, go with 2 millimeters. The frequency is the speed at which it will vibrate and it is measured in hertz. This is the amount of vibrations that will take place per second. Setting it at 20 hertz is a good starting point. After you start feeling comfortable and your exercises are feeling easy, increase the time, amplitude and frequency accordingly. This generally takes two to four weeks.
4,Work on your balance. To improve your balance, simply stand on the plate while it is vibrating. Keep your weight on your toes and keep your knees slightly bent. For an added challenge, stand on one foot.
5,Hook up the straps. These straps get attached at various locations around the base of the plate. You hold on to them, turn the machine on and vibrations are sent through your muscles. An example of an exercise would be a bicep curl. Attach the straps to the sides, grab the loops with your palms up, place one foot on the machine, turn it on and then pull up as hard as you can. Hold this isometric position for the time that you entered.
6,Sit on it. To do a seated exercise, you need to place the pad on the plate. Sit on top of it in the up position of a crunch. Turn it on and hold the contraction. Another ab variation that can be done is a plank. To do this exercise, place your forearms on the pads and your feet on the ground with your body in a straight line. Turn it on and hold.
7,Become more flexible. You can gain flexibility in your hamstrings by doing a forward bend extension. Stand on the plate with your feet together. Bend over into a squat position, grab your ankles and hug your thighs into your chest. Turn the machine on and slowly straighten your legs, but maintain a forward fold. Come to a point where your legs are almost straight but you still have slightly bent knees.

Use an Inversion Table for Back Pain


1,Start slowly. Begin with a 15 degree inversion for only one or two minutes. Even with this mild inversion you should begin to feel increased blood and lymph flow and a gentle stretch in your muscles. Do this once or twice a day for the first week to become acclimated. Turn upright if uncomfortable; if 15 degrees is comfortable, deepen to a 20 or 30 degree inversion.
2,Go to 60 degrees. Once comfortable with the basic sensation of inversion, experience a 60 degree inversion, which puts you roughly parallel with the rear legs of a standard gravity inversion table. Turn gently from side to side or rock back and forth at the pelvis to stretch the lower back. Gently rotate your neck from side to side to help relieve neck pain. Simply relaxing and breathing deeply also can help relieve upper back pain.
4,Exercises for the athlete. This group of exercises is not for the relief of back pain. You can strengthen your back and certain muscle groups by doing more strenuous exercise in the fully inverted position. At 90 degrees, sit-ups, reverse squats and back extensions can provide a vigorous workout for an athlete. An inverse squat uses the arms as the legs would be used in an upright squat, and a back extension uses the arms to push away from the inversion therapy table arching the back.

How to Build an Aviary Bird Cage?


1,Choose your flooring wisely. Indoor aviaries should be easy to wipe, sweep, or wash clean, and ceramic tile is the best choice with linoleum being a close second. For outdoor enclosures a cement pad works well. You can substitute cement for a thick layer of large gravel. Using gravel that is too small will encourage ingesting of the rock and can cause problems for your birds.
2,Use PVC or metal-covered 2 by 4s to create the framework for your enclosure for indoor aviaries. All wood should be well covered in metal to prevent gnawing and collapse. Be sure to provide plenty of cross bracing to support the wire firmly for enclosures that will contain any members of the parrot family, which like to climb on the wire sides of their enclosures.
3,Use a heavy-gauge wire that can’t be chewed through by the size of birds you will be containing. Parrots are especially well-known for gnawing and using their beaks to help them climb on wire so it needs to be sturdy enough to support the weight and beak strength of such birds. Stretch the wire tightly across the supports and staple securely.
4,Use natural wood perches, which are the best for any type of birds. Make sure the perches you use are either purchased from a reliable pet supply source or are a variety of wood safe for birds. How to Make Folding Table Legs?

1,Prepare your wooden tabletop and legs, however necessary, whether that be sanding, painting or staining. The brackets are a bronze-plated steel, so you will want to choose a stain or paint color accordingly.

How Does a Spotlight Work


Spotlights Are Electric
In their most basic form, spotlights are basic electrical circuits. A power source–which may, depending on the model of the spotlight, be either alternating or direct current—connects through a switch to a high intensity light bulb. When the switch is moved into the “On” position, a mechanism inside the switch completes the electrical circuit and allows current to flow from the power source, through the lamp, and back to the power ground path. A filament inside the bulb resists the flow of electricity and, as the electricity forces its way through, begins to glow. In some very high efficiency spotlights, the electrical current feeds a small circuit board that, in turn, illuminates a collection of high intensity light emitting diodes (LED) to produce light.
Spotlights Are Reflective
Although the flow of electricity illuminates a bulb inside the spotlight, the bulb alone is rarely sufficient to produce the large amounts of light for which spotlights are renowned. To amplify the light produced by the bulb, the concave area around the bulb is coated in highly reflective, angled material. The angles within the material catch and reflect the light from the bulb, amplifying its effect. This reflective area, which is usually comprised of aluminum-coated plastic, also serves to redirect the light into a steady beam, augmenting the function of the lens. Depending on the size of the spotlight and reflectivity of the coated area, a single bulb or small collection of LEDs can be amplified to 10,000 or more lumens (125,700 candle power).
Spotlights Use Lenses
While the bulb and reflective area of the spotlight produce ample amounts of light, the natural tendency of light beams is to scatter into a broad, unfocused area. Because scattered light waves would create an ineffective spotlight, manufacturers usually cover the bulb and reflective area with a special plastic or glass lens. Much like the lens of a camera or eyeglasses, the lens on a spotlight directs light from the source into a single, focused path. Depending on the make and model of the spotlight, the lens may be adjustable, allowing the user to switch from a dimmer light that covers a very large area to a very bright, focused light that is concentrated on a small surface.
